The Engagement Shoot: Sahr & Becky

It was lovely meeting Sahr and Becky for the first time, they are such a friendly and super warm couple! Sahr is originally from Sierra Leone and is a huge football fan (myself and Becky not so much!) and Becky, a South Londoner is the one with the creative eye. Now I won't give too much away about their wedding, but from what I've been told let's just say there will be lots of bright and bold colours! So this is certainly going to be one to remember with the fusion of both worlds!

We combined our first meet with a mini-engagement shoot. Our backdrop was London's, Hays Galleria and of course, in true Brit fashion it did rain on us but that didn't stop the lovely smiles on these two. Here are a few of the captures :)

Newlyweds: Andrey & Maria

The love that I have

Of the life that I have

Is yours and yours and yours...

... For the peace of my years

In the long green grass

Will be yours and yours and yours.

The Engagement Shoot: Kim and Mark

I had the great pleasure of doing a shoot for Kim and Mark following their engagement. This was really special as I have known Kim since we were ickle toddlers!

Kim and Mark wanted fun and upbeat photos, so I did my best to capture their vision as well as their personalities and the sweet affection they have for each other. Photo-booth props were at the ready to add that bit of extra fun and flavour to the session!

Nothin' like a Portobello stroll

I can never get enough of Portobello market.  People from the world all over flock to visit one of the world's largest antiques market every week and the crowds are phenomenal on Saturdays.  There is something here for everyone (not just for antique lovers might I add).  From international food stalls (my fave is Churros Garcia), clothes, vintage items, souvenirs - you name it, it's all here.  We started our route from Notting Hill which is the best place to kick off the tour especially if it's your first time.

Textures of Autumn

I made it my mission to capture the textures of Autumn this year as I always tend to miss them! So during my lunch break I nipped down to the nearby park just before it started to fill up with the working crowd to take some photos... and here they are, just in time before the chilly blue winter season arrives.

I love the colours of Autumn and how symbolic this time of year is coupled with the feeling of childhood nostalgia.  As the leaves falter and decorate our path, it reminds me of nature and life's beautiful cycle.

"The season for enjoying the fullness of life - partaking of the harvest, sharing the harvest with others, and reinvesting and saving portions of the harvest for yet another season of growth." - Denis Waitley
