The Engagement Shoot: Kim and Mark

I had the great pleasure of doing a shoot for Kim and Mark following their engagement. This was really special as I have known Kim since we were ickle toddlers!

Kim and Mark wanted fun and upbeat photos, so I did my best to capture their vision as well as their personalities and the sweet affection they have for each other. Photo-booth props were at the ready to add that bit of extra fun and flavour to the session!

A Countryside Escape

Following a fab weekend with a group of friends to celebrate a birthday, we decided to take a de-tour to Stonehenge en route back home to London. As you can tell from the photos we were not so fortunate to get a close encounter with the mysterious giant stones but we did certainly make an adventure of it! From daisy chain making to taking the time out to relax to absorb the beautiful English scenic views, we made sure we soaked up as much as we could before heading back to the hustle and bustle of London town.

Malta Bliss

Malta is one of my most favourite destinations. It is a gorgeous little island located in the Mediterranean packed with everything I need for a delightful stay.  The people are so kind and welcoming; you are no more than half an hour away from the coast wherever you are on the island; the rustic buildings are beautiful and full of character and there are so many places to visit and explore.

We traveled there in April (second time) for one of my best friend's wedding and we took the opportunity to combine a holiday with it. I mean, why not? (I love Malta! That was kind of a given in my intro wasn't it...)

Some of the places we visited this time were:

Valletta - this is the country's capital center and it has a variety of attractions from the surrounding harbors, shops, restaurants, cafe's, museums, churches and the Grandmaster's Palace. I love this small city centre because of it's history and the many options of things to do in the area!

Tarxien Temples - is a world heritage site which consists of a complex of four megalithic structures built between 3600 and 2500 BC.  It is home to some of the best examples of prehistoric art which have survived the millennia (Heritage Malta, 2015) and is certainly worth a visit.

Sliema and St. Julian's Bay - are prime tourist spots and Sliema is where we stayed.  I liked taking a stroll along the coast of Sliema soaking in the wonderful view of the sea and sun.

Sanctuary of Our Lady of Victories - this is a popular destination of pilgrimage and it is located in the Mellieha, north of Malta.  It is a beautiful place and it's surroundings are gorge.  The complex here dates back to the late 16th Century so it's history is well ingrained.  There is also a grotto nearby, which is a lovely place if you want a moment of quiet reflection.

Ghajn Tuffieha Bay and Golden Bay - Ghajn Tuffieha Bay is especially picturesque.  Blue sea, golden sand and peaceful waves.  It's quite a walk to get to, but very worth the effort as it is less packed than Golden Bay and I was in love with this beach location for it's serenity.
