Nothin' like a Portobello stroll

I can never get enough of Portobello market.  People from the world all over flock to visit one of the world's largest antiques market every week and the crowds are phenomenal on Saturdays.  There is something here for everyone (not just for antique lovers might I add).  From international food stalls (my fave is Churros Garcia), clothes, vintage items, souvenirs - you name it, it's all here.  We started our route from Notting Hill which is the best place to kick off the tour especially if it's your first time.

Discount Alert!

So this is not one of my usual posts.  I recently discovered Polabox a.k.a PrintKlub which lets you print your photos straight from your smartphone using the app or on their website - whatever your preference.  But wait a minute, there are lots of sites that do this I hear you say.  This one's pretty cool because they offer bundle prints in polaroid format, cute lil' magnets, posters or framed posters and lots more! What's more the packaging is pretty ace.  I ordered mine today and I am very excited to see the final results!

If you're like me and absolutely love taking photos of everything and anything, this is a unique way of having fun with your pics and they also make really nice presents!  All you need to do is visit the website, select your favourite snap(s), hit the checkout button and use the promo KIMMA3M to get £4.00 discount of your first purchase.  Click here to visit the site!

Please note this is by no means a sponsored post and the promo code is only valid in the UK (and maybe other European territories).

Sweet, Simple & Krisha

I spent a few weeks in the Philippines just after Christmas and of course I took the opportunity to take some portraits! Last October Krisha asked me if I would take her photos following the shots I took of her sister Kristle (see my October 2014 blog). I gladly accepted the chance to do so and we talked about using a beach as our backdrop.  Here are a few samples of the ones I snapped which were shot in the beautiful and peaceful location of Laiya, Batangas - Philippines. An apt and serene location for a sweet and simple gal like Krisha :)

Textures of Autumn

I made it my mission to capture the textures of Autumn this year as I always tend to miss them! So during my lunch break I nipped down to the nearby park just before it started to fill up with the working crowd to take some photos... and here they are, just in time before the chilly blue winter season arrives.

I love the colours of Autumn and how symbolic this time of year is coupled with the feeling of childhood nostalgia.  As the leaves falter and decorate our path, it reminds me of nature and life's beautiful cycle.

"The season for enjoying the fullness of life - partaking of the harvest, sharing the harvest with others, and reinvesting and saving portions of the harvest for yet another season of growth." - Denis Waitley

A Beautiful Smile

I had the joy of shooting these portraits of bride-to-be Kristle.  She has such an infectious and gorgeous smile.  What I loved about this shoot was the ease of capturing Kristle's gleaming excitement. You can see that she has the world at her feet and what's special is that Kristle is one of those people who is a living proof that when you smile, the whole world smiles with you.

Brighton Rocks!

Didn't I tell you that I'd be back in Quirky Brighton? My cousins came to London for a quick City break recently and I thought why not show them around Brighton for a day? As soon as we arrived, off we headed to the Pier and played a game or two in the arcades. We even won a few prizes which was a nice treat! Of course while in Brighton, fish 'n' chips on the beach is compulsory which is exactly what we did for lunch.  The rest of the day involved a nice stroll in the high street and a rest on the deck chairs by the pier. Lovely x
